In the mid-1800s, seven ancient manuscripts were discovered in the depths of the British Museum. Some consider these writings to be the actual words of Master Magician- King Solomon. The manuscripts are considered to be the fountainhead and storehouse of Kabalistic Magic, and the origin of much of the Ceremonial Magic of Mediaeval as well as modern times.

Solomon, who reigned as King of Isreal in1000 B.C, was renowned for his Wisdom and “his unhealthy interest in heathen gods” and, according to legend, had acquired a formidable reputation as Master Magician.

   S. Liddell MacGregor Mathers, who  was a one of the founders and “True Magician” of the “Order of the Golden Dawn,” translated the text of this magical textbook, “The Key of Solomon the King” to reveal the Magical Sigils, Signs, and Words used to control the Powers of Magic.

Our Talisman is “The Fourth Pentacle of Venus. – It is of great power, since it compels the Spirits of Venus to Obey, and to force on the instant any person thou wishest to come to thee.”

At the four angles of the Figure are the four letters of the Name “IHVH.” (These letters are called the “Tetragrammaton". So strong is the power of the spoken word, that the mighty four-letter name of God, the Tetragrammaton - IHVH is never pronounced by devout Hebrews. The name is usually substituted for by another four-letter name, ADNI, which is pronounced Adonai and means Lord.

The true pronunciation of IHVH is known to very few, as it is believed to be a great secret, and "He who can rightly pronounce it, causeth heaven and earth to tremble, for it is the name which rusheth through the universe." IHVH is commonly spelled out as Jehovah.

The intrinsic meaning of the Tetragrammaton -- IHVH -- is "to be," and it is a symbol of existence. It also represents the four cardinal points, the four elements, (fire, air, water, and earth), and the four worlds of the Kabbalists.)

The other letters form the Names of Spirits of Venus, e.g.: -Schii, Eli, Ayib, etc.

The versicle is from Genesis ii. 23, 24: -  "this is bone of my bones, and flesh of my flesh. And they two were one flesh.’’

This Talisman for use as a Philtre (Love-Spell) may be relied upon under all circumstances to enhance ones chances of finding and keeping Love.
